Our 2024 Results — A Record Year for the Indigenous Reading Project

Indigenous Reading Project students borrowed a whopping 3251 books from our library in 2024 — our biggest year yet. We are so proud of our diligent students, their hardworking teachers, and our brilliant volunteers. 

Demand for e-books has been steadily increasing since 2022, and our library team has been working hard to make sure students have access to the best quality content.

Results Breakdown

E-Reading Program

• 118/125 students successfully completed the program
• Time spent reading increased by 68%
• Reading fluency improved by 32%
• Reading comprehension scores improved by 64%

Reading for Life

• 39 students
• Ages 9-15
• 19 schools across NSW, ACT, QLD and SA
• 405 total books borrowed
